Vacuum Seal

The silicone tab on the lid creates an airtight seal. Press the lid on and then push the tab down to create the seal. The lid will stay firmly on - no clips or bands required! To take the lid off, pull the tab up first to release the vacuum seal.

Yes you can! But keep the silicone sleeve on the base when you use it in the microwave so you don’t burn your hands when you take it out.

No, the lid is not microwave safe. Use a plate or a reusable stretchy silicone cover to stop splashes & spills. Don’t use foil as this could cause sparking.

Yes, the silicone tab make a vacuum seal which means they are 100% airtight and leakproof. To create the vacuum seal, press the lid down firmly with the tab open and then press the tab down. To release the seal, simply pull the tab up and remove the lid.

The base is made from borosilicate glass which is known for its low thermal expansion and high resistance to thermal and chemical stress, although it can still break or crack if it is exposed to excessive force or extreme temperatures. The lunch bowl can withstand temperatures of up to 450 degrees Celsius so is fine in the oven or microwave. Just be a bit careful washing it up and try not to drop it onto a hard floor. It’s safe to fill with boiling water too.

The grey silicone base just peels off when you want to remove it, then, because it's silicone, you can just stick it back on and it will stay on!

The steel components of all our products are covered by warranty. Borosilicate glass is known for its durability but it not unbreakable! It’s lightweight which make it more versatile, but try not to drop it from a great height, be a bit more careful washing up & you’ll be fine! Replacement vacuum tabs are available for the Lunch Bowls and Prep & Store but replacement glass lids & bases are not yet available.

Non-Toxic Food Storage Solution

So pleased to have found Elephant Box and a really effective alternative to Tupperware for food storage. I have been working to eliminate plastics from my kitchen for sometime now but had never found a product that ticked all the boxes. The glass bowls still came with plastic lids that didn’t create a vacuum and were not airtight and leakproof. Likewise the glass bowls that have bamboo lids were not much better and had a tendency to develop mould after a while. These bowls however made from borosilicate glass, steel and silicone are excellent. Not only are they 100% non-toxic, they also look stylish and do the job they are made to do. My only complaint is that there is not a larger bowl in the collection in which I can store and freeze a batch of homemade soup for instance.

Very well made, feels sturdy. Love the silicone edging. My last set of glass tupperware chipped over time from stacking glass on glass so think the silicone will really help prevent that

Id Previous left a 4 ⭐️ review- I was 💯 impressed with my round glass lunch bowls but had a minor issue that the rubber bottom had torn when removing for washing. Last week I received 2 complimentary new bottoms for my Elephant bowls. Not only are products great, but customer service and client care is also excellent.
