No, the lid is not microwave safe. Use a plate or a reusable stretchy silicone cover to stop splashes & spills. Don’t use foil as this could cause sparking.

Yes, the silicone tab make a vacuum seal which means they are 100% airtight and leakproof. To create the vacuum seal, press the lid down firmly with the tab open and then press the tab down. To release the seal, simply pull the tab up and remove the lid.

Important: The vacuum seal only works when food is at room temperature or cooler. Hot food releases steam and moisture, which prevents the vacuum from forming. Let food cool before sealing to ensure it is fully leakproof.

Yes, the Lunch Bowls are safe to use in the dishwasher, freezer, & the whole thing is oven-safe. When freezing, take care not to overfill, particularly if meal prepping liquids as they will expand when frozen. 

The base is made from borosilicate glass which is known for its low thermal expansion and high resistance to thermal and chemical stress, although it can still break or crack if it is exposed to excessive force or extreme temperatures. The lunch bowl can withstand temperatures of up to 450 degrees Celsius so is fine in the oven or microwave. Just be a bit careful washing it up and try not to drop it onto a hard floor. It’s safe to fill with boiling water too. 

The grey silicone base just peels off when you want to remove it, then, because it's silicone, you can just stick it back on and it will stay on!

The steel components of all our products are covered by warranty. Borosilicate glass is known for its durability but it not unbreakable! It’s lightweight which make it more versatile, but try not to drop it from a great height, be a bit more careful washing up & you’ll be fine!
