    Steel Lunchboxes FAQs

    The Classic Range is our nod to tradition, featuring lunchboxes & snack containers made in a small, family-run factory in Chennai, India. These products are crafted from premium 304-grade stainless steel with a polished mirror finish. The latch clips, inspired by the iconic Indian tiffins, add a touch of simplicity and nostalgia to these practical lunchboxes. While the design stays true to the classic tiffin, the 100% stainless steel construction means these lunchboxes are not leakproof.

    No, the lunchboxes in the Classic Range are not leakproof. The name “Classic Range” honours our very first product, the Elephant Box, which was designed to resemble traditional Indian tiffins – and like most tiffins, these lunchboxes aren't typically leakproof.construction means these lunchboxes are not leakproof.

    That’s right – no plastic! We avoid using plastic in all our lunchboxes. These ones are made of 100% stainless steel with no additional materials, offering a sustainable, plastic-free option for those who appreciate the classic tiffin-style lunchbox.

    For our leakproof range, we use food-grade silicone to create reliable, leakproof seals. We’ve also recently introduced new products with borosilicate glass lids and bases to make meal prep and food storage even easier. The glass helps reduce the leftovers guessing games in the fridge! 

    Absolutely. All our lunchboxes and food containers are dishwasher-safe and freezer-safe. Just make sure to remove the lids. They can also be used in the oven (up to 200°C), though we recommend keeping the lids off. Important: these containers should not be used in the microwave. If you're looking for microwave-safe options, we recommend our Prep & Store and Clip & Seal ranges, which feature microwave-safe bases. Additionally, our Lunch Bowls with glass bases are perfect for microwaving your lunch.

    The Classic Range is versatile, with different styles and sizes to suit various needs. The Three-in-Snackbox is ideal for younger children’s packed lunches or smaller appetites. The Elephant Box (our most popular lunchbox) is a beautiful all-rounder, with a 2-litre capacity that can comfortably carry a full lunch. The Two-in-One (Standard and Jumbo) allows you to pack a variety of meals, while our Snack Containers are perfect for smaller snacks like nuts or fruit.

    All our stainless steel products come with a 15 year warranty. Glass and silicone isn’t covered, but we sell spare silicone lids for Seal & Go Range, spare silicone bases for the Lunch Bowls and tabs for the Bowls & Prep & Store Range.
