"I got one for each of my kids for their school lunches. Was worried they might be too small but they are perfect! The kids can easily open them & they clean up very easily too". - Claire G
Customers said this stainless steel container is "perfect for school lunches" with three compartments and an extra snack box. Most praised its durability, easy cleaning, and plastic-free design. However, some noted it's not leakproof, compartments may be too small for standard sandwiches or bananas, and a few reported quality issues like rust or sharp edges.
I bought a water bottle for my partner from here before which we were really pleased with. Then when I ordered this lunchbox I didn’t receive a dispatched email for almost a week so had to chase it up. It then was delivered 6 days after purchase. When it arrived the inside of the lunchbox was deeply scratched which was frustrating as I needed to use it asap so couldn’t accept a replacement and only the 8% refund. It’s expensive for what it is.
Hi Beth, we are really sorry that your buying experience wasn't up to scratch and that then your purchase was scratched! This isn't what we are aiming for at all. Chasing a purchase is annoying and time consuming. Katy will be emailing you to see how we can perhaps make this a bit better for you.
I hope that you enjoyed the other products on your order more.
Apologies again, Joy
A great set of containers that are so popular it took a while before I managed to buy them as they keep going out of stock!
This is the kind of thing that never needs replacing, unless you leave it behind in your holiday accommodation 🤦🏼♂️
I had my eyes on this box for a while but it was out of stock. Once I got the notification it's back, I ordered straight away and was not disappointed. Super versatile, light and easy to clean- love it!
I've purchased this snack box for my toddler's food. It's very convenient, has enough space for many things, really enjoyed using it and my daughter likes it too.
But just after a couple of weeks of usage, it's getting extremely rusty! I'm very disappointed! I thought that it's not supposed to as it's made of stainless steel. I'm afraid that now I only have to get rid of it as it's not safe to keep food in a rusty container.
Hello,
I am sorry to hear this and I have emailed you - our products are made from 304 or 204 food-grade stainless steel which is safe durable and highly rust resistant.
It is most likely to be marks left behind from the electropolishing process, which smooths the surface of the metal and makes it shiny. Sometimes electrolytes left on the surface turn a rust colour, but it's harmless. To remove residue, soak your Elephant Box overnight with hot water and baking soda or white vinegar. Follow the soak by scrubbing it with a soft cloth or soft bristled brush, please do email me back if this does not resolve it or if I can help any further.
Best wishes, Katy
Took this wild camping and there was plenty of room, and more, for a couple of days' walking. It kept everything beautifully (gloopy salad, snacks, unruly sandwiches...) and I was proud to use it. Next time I'll get even more in, and make sure there's nothing whatsoever in plastic packaging.
Great quality, washes up a treat and good for the environment! I'm going to be buying another one for my partner too. We won't need to buy anymore plastic lunch boxes now.
Great little lunch box for my son. It’s easy enough for a child to open and the small snack box is great for adding little treats to pack lunches. Washed well and is sturdy. The order came on time and is good value for money.
The bottom compartment isn't deep enough to fit the snack pods (even with the lid off) or a regularly sized banana. I can fit a banana in the top one but then have nothing to keep snacks (nuts, chickpeas, raisins and the likes) separate for the bottom compartment so am left with two large ones, which isn't necessarily the selling point for this lunchbox or why I bought it. I can make it work but yeah, not ideal. Don't particularly recommend if you take picky bits on the go for a toddler.
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We're sorry to hear the compartments don't meet your needs perfectly. Your comments are helpful, and we'll pass them along to improve our designs. We appreciate your honesty and hope you find a solution that works well for your toddler's lunches.
Great products, worth the purchase and so nice to use everyday so a joy for a simple solution.
Excellent lunchboxes - highly recommend
Chosen by family member for me to buy and give as a Christmas Gift
So good I might get another one
Three-in-One Snackbox
Your lunch boxes are well made and in every way perfect for school lunch boxes. Thank you!
Really good quality, perfectly sized snack boxes. I love that I’m giving my little boys healthy snacks from a healthy pot! Yes, more expensive than other options, but these will last.
It’s a nice stainless steel option, reasonable price on sale, not leak proof though sadly especially the bottom container. Good for kids sized snacks
I purchased the Elephant lunchbox for my daughter for work and she loves it. Perfect to keep her lunch fresh in the different compartments and plastic free!
Needed new snack box container for work & hiking. So, decided to try something different. So, far my purchases have been perfect for my needs.
Such a great product, can fit in a lot, for example I put pasta in the bottom part, and then snacks in the top part! I’m going to buy one for my husband. 😊
I bought this as a gift for my partner as she was starting a new job. Thanks to the snack box she arrived on her first day with cottage cheese juice all over the inside of her bag and down her trouser leg. Thankfully her new employer was quite understanding and she still has her job. Dry lunches only from now on!
I gave this as a present because it looked robust enough to survive an archaeological dig site - the recipient is very pleased with it!
We really love our elephant box tiered box. It's perfect for school lunches and was just what we were looking for as a plastic alternative.
Really happy using this snackbox as a lunch box for my toddler. It’s compact and keeps food fresh for our daily outings.
Amazing! Good size, easy to use, dish washer safe and no plastic even in their packaging!
Two level bento box with additional snack box which fits insider lower compartment.
Beautifully made easy to open and close which makes varied packed lunches quick & easy to prepare.
Also delighted with the environmental qualities of this - I wanted something durable which was non plastic.
Finally its easy to clean, looks good amd has been admired by colleagues.
I’m already a repeat customer and so happy with this purchase. Thank you Elephant Box for knowing somehow exactly what I’d been looking for!
Great size for taking my lunch and snack for day out or full day at work. Seals well, and two compartments means i can keep everything in one box. And this still fits in my thermo bag.
I’ve bought this as a Christmas present so I’ve not used it but I can say the quality of manufacturing is excellent
